SMALL-BATCH CNC

Five pieces.
Or five hundred.
Same shop.

We don't have a "prototype quote" and a separate "production quote" — we have one quote, from the operator, on the machines that will actually cut the parts. Whether it's 5 or 1,500+.

01 / Sweet spot

Where small-batch hits.

1–10
Prototype runs · functional samples · first-article inspection
10–100
Pilot batches · early customer shipments · field-test runs
100–500
Real production. Cobot-loaded. Where we hit our stride.
500–1500
Sustained production. Repeat orders. Lights-out.
02 / Why us

Why small batch works here.

No minimum-order surcharge

We don't charge a setup penalty for ordering 5 instead of 500. Setup is setup.

Same machines for proto & production

The lathe that cuts your sample is the lathe that cuts run #1, run #2, and run #50.

Cobot for lights-out

Smaller batches still benefit from automation — the cobot runs the parts after hours so you don't pay for our overnight.

Setup memory

After run #2 your part is recognized. Programs locked, soft jaws on the shelf, drawings on file. Re-orders quote faster.

03 / FAQ

Common questions.

What's your minimum order quantity for CNC machining? +
There is no minimum quantity. Batch sizes from 1 piece to 1,500+ are all welcome. Pricing scales with setup amortization, of course — but there's no platform-style "small order surcharge."
Is small-batch CNC more expensive per part? +
Yes — setup cost amortizes across fewer pieces. But total job cost is lower than 500 pieces, which is what most people actually care about. We'll quote both quantities so you can decide.
Can I order 5 parts now and 500 next year? +
Yes. The 5 are cut on the same machines as the 500 will be, by the same operator, with the program saved. Re-orders go faster every time.
